FEBRUARYSenior Talk Every year before graduation, the Office of Admission and Aid (OAA) holds a dinner for the graduating scholars and the benefactors. This gives them a chance to convene and interact before the graduation rites. AASA takes part in this program as well. Scholars learn about AASA through a small presentation. Finally, this is where the scholars get their piggy banks, which is way for them to give back the blessings they got from the Ateneo.
MARCHAnnual Lunch AASA also holds its own benefactor’s lunch every year, before graduation. In this gathering, the AASA scholars are able to meet with AASA’s benefactors. Also, AASA’s board members and staff, along with the help of the scholars, conduct a brief program for the guests.
JUNEPara Po: Scholars Acquaintance Party Last year, AASA joined forces with Gabay to organize an event called “Para Po” which was a concert event made for the freshman scholars. Led by the senior scholars, the event was executed to welcome the freshmen to the Ateneo scholars’ community. Also, one of its main objectives is to open the minds of the incoming scholars right away to the act of giving which is entailed in being an Atenean. A “Para Po Year 2” is in the works and it will be held again this year. It is set to be a bigger event this time around as there are plans to invite alumni scholars along with sponsors.
DECEMBERSimbang Gabi During the Christmas season, AASA hosts the first day of the “Simbang Gabi” held at the Church of the Gesu. Aside from the Ateneo community, AASA especially invites alumni scholars to take part in this event. |
