How you can help the victims of typhoon Ondoy

The Ateneo Alumni Scholars Association is one with the Ateneo community in supporting the victims of typhoon Ondoy. For those interested in giving donations and lending a hand to the efforts, please take note of the following:

 

 

Ateneo Task Force Ondoy still ongoing

 

Ateneo Task Force Ondoy has been ongoing since Sunday, September 27, 2009 and will continue for the rest of the week. For those interested in donating relief goods or monetary donations, you may drop them off at the Ateneo College Covered Courts. You may also volunteer to be part of the relief operations.

 

 

 

Announcement from the Loyola Schools Office of Admission and Aid

 

Last Monday, we sent an email broadcast to all scholars and texted more than 200 scholars who live in Marikina, Pasig and Rizal to find out who have been affected by typhoon Ondoy and who are in urgent need of assistance.

As of lunch today, 151 have responded through text and email and 86 informed us that they have been badly affected. As of now, we are trying to reach those who have not responded. If you know the whereabouts of the following scholars, of if you think they are in urgent need of assistance, please contact OAA ASAP at the ff numbers:

Donations for typhoon Ondoy victims from Ateneo alumni U.S.A. residents may be sent to the Ateneo de Manila University through the Philippine Jesuit Foundation and the Ayala Foundation USA. These two foundations issue U.S. tax deductible receipts. PJF and AF-USA are duly registered and qualified charitable organizations in the U.S.A. Donations to the PJF and to the AF-USA are deductible gifts under the U.S. Tax Code Section 501(c)(3).


For donations by check:

Issue the check to "Philippine Jesuit Foundation"
On the memo line please write: For "Ateneo Task Force Ondoy c/o OSA & SLB"
"OSA" means Office of Student Activites, Loyola Schools, Ateneo de Manila University
"SLB" means Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan
